CD CLRG Galeão is a distribution center in Rio de Janeiro, in the cargo terminal yard of Tom Jobim International Airport (Galeão), with 20,960.54 m² of built area on a 30,000 m² site and 40 loading docks.

Its location inside the airport complex brings storage close to air cargo — a type of development that also requires approvals from the airport concessionaire and the Brazilian Air Force.

MM Obras’ role

Approval support, detailed design and construction

MM Obras supported the approval and licensing process with Rio de Janeiro City Hall, the airport concessionaire and other agencies, developed the detailed design and built the warehouse.

Construction was carried out under a cost-plus contract with a guaranteed maximum price, from June 2022 to July 2023.

The building system combines precast concrete columns, a steel-framed roof with insulated standing-seam panels and an industrial concrete floor — industrialized solutions that shorten schedules without compromising quality.
